Charles Edward Anderson "Chuck" Berry (October 18, 1926 – March 18, 2017) was an American singer, songwriter and guitarist who pioneered rock and roll. He had several hits such as Johnny B. Goode, Rock and Roll Music and Roll Over Beethoven.
He, among other musicians such as Elvis Presley and Little Richard, influenced the most part of early rock bands, including The Beatles. He performed with John Lennon in 1972.
