A Hard Day's Night is the opening track of the titular album, and was written and sung by John Lennon (credited to Lennon/McCartney).

BackgroundEdit

The title is based off of one of the many malapropisms of Ringo Starr, and was made famous because of the opening chord, confirmed by George Harrison to be a Fadd9, who also played the 12-bar solo on his Rickenbacker 360/12 12-string guitar, a guitar which would be used through out the whole album, and many other projects.
